STEPHEN BALDAUF

Stephen Baldauf was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Even in his youth it was clear he was a natural born artist.
Stephen received his art training in Chicago at University’s and art schools, private training and seminars.
In his early years as a professional artist, he began with painting and sculpture. In 1978 Stephen was a featured artist in the Chicago Tribune as “One of Chicago’s emerging artists”.
In his career, Stephen has displayed his work in over 1000 exhibits and received over 100 awards during the last 27 years.

Art and Frames carries Stephen's original acrylic paintings on canvas as well as his original acrylic paintings on paper.

Stephen says about the process of his work:
“My work is done on gallery wrapped canvas. I start with a heavy textured acrylic paint and add found items like paper images and imbed them into the paint. Then I add in oil paint over the top to the final image. It then has a gloss sealer over it protecting the work and giving it an old world glow. My work has a traditional theme and a contemporary style”.
